We have investigated the issue of "Failed to backup LVM/MD Configuration" which has been happening since early September 2017 on R1Soft Backup Server in regards to client servers.
A conflict in CentOS 7, which conflicts with the r1soft native configuration "lvm.static" command, and has caused Error's to appear on backups.
Backups are STILL working, but this affects the ability to restore the LVM & Volume Group configuration from the recovery point in question which is required during a Bare Metal Restore.
In the meantime, this work-around is to replace the r1soft lvm.static binary with the system version of LVM, which can be done per below steps.
# mv /usr/sbin/r1soft/lib/lvm.static{,.bak}
# ln -s /sbin/lvm /usr/sbin/r1soft/lib/lvm.static
All Falcon Internet managed servers will be fixed and will be reverted once a fix is completed from R1Soft Support.
